On 05.03.2025 Gasterm celebrates 25-years participation on the gas market in Bulgaria. Our company is established in 2000 as Schlumberger partner in Bulgaria with scope of activity delivery of natural gas equipment, gas fittings, engineering activity, service and repair.
After American petroleum giant Schlumberger group acquires the German company J. B. Rombach in 1995, starts playing active role on world gas metering market and Gasterm was responsible for the gas product and services portfolio introduction to the Bulgarian market.
The Rombach factory in Karlsruhe, Germany has been the main production facility for gas meters (diaphragm, rotary, turbine) and gas regulators assembling since its building in 1912 from J. B. Rombach until now and some leading utilities as Actaris, Itron and Dresser Utility Solutions in present time have managed the factory during the years.
Dresser Utility Solutions acquires the factory in 2022 and continues manufacturing and delivering their Europe customers the same quality C&I gas meters, converters and pressure regulators and the factory become Dresser’s main manufacturing and logistics center for two production lines:
- Product brand Actaris Gas Measurement. Diaphragm, rotary and turbine gas meters, converters
- Product brand Actaris Gas Regulators. Pressure regulators
For 25 years’ partnership with their international business partners, Gasterm keeps excellent business relationships and represents successfully the Bulgarian market requirements. In 2017 and 2018 Gasterm won the “Partner of the year” prize on the Channel partner meeting event.
In 2003-2008 Gasterm developed own engineering activity, projected and built gas infrastructure in the cities Sofia, Elin Pelin, Kostinbrod, Samokov and Panagjuriste. Our company also projected and built 40 km gas supply network and more than 1000 residential GZP in Elin Pelin municipality district.
In 2007 Gasterm was authorized from the producer to provide Services of rotary, turbine and diaphragm gas meters, converters and pressure regulators and established own repair center. Now Gasterm has full access to the information, tools and materials necessary for professional service activity.
After 2016 Gasterm became a partner of the companies Gavilar, HEAT, MANAS and began distributing their portfolio on the Bulgarian market – low pressure regulators, shut-off valves and volume converters (Gavilar), residential and industrial pressure regulators (HEAT), residential diaphragm meters (MANAS).
In 2019 Gasterm established relationship with German company Inotech, the world’s leading manufacturer of test bench installations for low and high pressure gas meters, pressure regulators, water meters and heat meters and delivered test installations for two authorized laboratories in Bulgaria.
– In 2020 Gasterm supplied a test equipment for calibration and verification of rotary and turbine gas meters up to 650 m³/h to Flowtest, Targowiste.
– In 2022 Gasterm delivered 10 position test bench installation for calibration of residential gas meters up to 10 m³/h to Overgas Service, Sofia.
