The WMR residential pressure regulators are proven product on Bulgarian market since 10 years, their producer is the Nederland company Gavilar, our business partner since 2016.
Gavilar is a young company but has a rich history. The first company fabric was established in 1858 in Dordrecht, the Nederland, where gas, water and electricity meters, as well stoves and vacuum cleaners were produced. In 1981 the company saw the addition of gas pressure regulators, safety equipment and volume converters to its product line. After various takeovers down the years, in 2011 the latest owner Itron Inc. decided to cease production activities in Dorderecht and by means of a Management Buy-Out, Gavilar took over the production and in doing so combined the years of experience gained with the effectiveness of a compact and dynamic company.
Today Gavilar is a specialist in the designed construction and installation of gas pressure regulation and measuring stations and is the market leader in the field of domestic gas pressure regulators and low pressure shut-off valves.
The WMR regulators have been used for over 40 years in the Dutch market, Actaris Metering Systems acquired the production lines in 2001, and later Itron Inc. managed the production from 2007 until 2011. The WMR regulators are designed for residential applications in low-pressure service lines. They can be mounted directly on the gas meter inlet. The compact angled design is ideal for installation in space-saving meter cabinets.
WMR is a spring-loaded self-operated gas pressure regulating device optionally equipped with an under pressure protecting device which closes in case of low inlet pressure and it reverts automatically to the open position when conditions return to normal. The regulator is equipped with an inlet strainer. The device is fully preset from the factory and ready to be fitted on a gas meter. All adjustments screws are sealed and protected against unauthorized use. The WMR regulators can be used for indoor and outdoor applications as devices for outdoor installations are equipped with protection cap.
