The Dresser center for all gas products is located in Karlsruhe, Germany. There the company do following activities:

- Manufacturing of Rotary, Turbine and Diaphragm gas meters, Regulators, Electronic volume converters
- Support functions
The plant is certified according to ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental), ISO 450001 (Health & Safety) and Metrology MID Module B and Module D as total quality management process has been carried out since 1999.
The production site in Karlsruhe has a long history:
In 1903, Johan Baptist Rombach founded a family company for manufacturing of gas meters in Strasbourg, employing his son and two workers. In 1916, the company moved production and headquarters to Karlsruhe. The family business developed rapidly and in 1988, it exceeded a turnover of over 100 million German marks, half of which came from exports.
In 1995, the American oil giant Schlumberger group acquired J.B. Rombach and made it an active participant in the global market.
Gasterm OOD was founded on 05.03.2000 with the idea of being a partner of Schlumberger for Bulgaria by supplying natural gas equipment, engineering activities, warranty maintenance and service and since then has represented the company and its portfolio of gas products and services on the Bulgarian market.
In 2001, the gas measurement division of Schlumberger becomes a sovereign company called Actaris Metering Systems.
In 2007, the American company Itron absorbed Actaris and continued the tradition of designing and manufacturing technically-advanced gas, water and electricity management products. Founded in 1977, Itron Inc. operates with 80 key locations globally and more than 8000 customers in 130 countries
In 2022, Dresser Utility Solutions acquired the European commercial & industrial (C&I) gas metering and the global gas regulator business from Itron. Main Dresser production and logistic center remains the plant in Karlsruhe. The American Dresser Utility Solutions, founded in 1880, is a leading provider of metering, electronics, instrumentations, flow control and pressure regulation, well known on Bulgarian market.
Currently, the plant employs nearly 200 people, working standard in 2 shifts but during peak times there is an option to include night and Saturday shifts. The factory in Karlsruhe produces approximately 160,000 units per year, nearly 700 units per day:
- 50 000 Diaphragm meters
- 15 000 Rotary meters
- 9 000 pcs. Turbine meters
- 15 000 Regulators
- 70 000 Residential regulators Serus

- Parts receiving & preparation
- Parts management
- Production cells for individual product lines
- Calibration and test
- Painting
- Packaging and Shipping to a logistics center
